Sweet Honest Gesture
Right now, and at this very moment...
a voice is screaming in a hospital,
a pen is piercing a hole through of sheet of paper
a hunter is having a dream
lipstick is bonding to teeth
a young man is near death,
a dish is shattering
a gun is loaded
a machine is barely purring
the sun is shining
it's pitch dark
A dog is begging
a cage door is opening
a car is starting
a child is praying
a phone is ringing
a ghost is sleeping
a bone is breaking
a field is burning
a crowd is cheering
an old man is crying
a baby is being born
a kiss is well-received
a computer is frozen
a string is strummed
a traveler is lonesome
an artist is lying awake
a couple is cumming
someone is dying for their belief
someone is dying for someone else's belief
a book is printing
a street is quiet
meat is frying
a flag is waving
a blind person is listening
a dollar is pressed
a picture is being painted...
and so forth.
And tomorrow I'll end up remembering something I tried to forget and memorizing a new contradiction--and relearning the fact the greatest magic is convincing one's self in a shrinking world.
My kitchen floor is spotlessly clean and I laugh to myself for that fleeting instant when I feel like a fragment of some chaotic world is under my thumb and within my unique celestial power and innate truth. To feel my little self-invented, mystic premonitions are more than simply taking pleasure in watching my body go through another one of it's predictable motions. This is soothing. Just as tearing myself down before a wall I'm scared to try to climb.
